Purple Belt

E got his purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu today! I’m especially partial to the color purple, but that’s not the only reason I’m happy for him. It’s a step forward, and he, just like me, was seeking a step forward. It’s a reward truly deserved. It’s awesome. It’s symbolic; I feel it.

Congratulations, my other half! I should really take you up on that offer to learn choke-holds now, huh?

  1. Hurray! I send the Guinness of Congratulations. (I am not literally sending beer, as I think it would be messy. But if I were there or you were here there would be beer.)

  2. Just popping by to remind you and your readers about the GBA(s)FC #2, which kicks off May 1st over on my blog. Hope to see you there.

    Sorry to post off-topic.

  3. Yay to e! I tried a jiu-jitsu class once, and it rocked. Might go back again… Little nephew takes tae kwon do, and every time I see him he’s up another color; maybe I should compete with him, a 7-year-old. Mature? Yeah…

  4. thank you, nova! you’ve been so supportive…nearly five years of this. probably at least five more until teh blackblet.
    and thank you, everyone else.
