17 & GONE Has a Blurb!

The ARCs (advance reading copies) of 17 & Gone have been released into the world… and lalala I am not letting myself be terrified. Instead I am simply letting myself be excited that I’m that much closer to my book coming out in March 2013. Closer!

And now that I know the ARCs are out and will soon be distributed, I can tell you this one awesome thing I’ve been itching to share: An author I admire so much—a brilliant writer, not to mention a strong and wonderfully weird and inspiring person—has read my book and she liked it enough to say kind things that will grace my book cover.

I have a blurb! And here it is:

“Elegant, riveting, powerful, and poignant, this suspenseful, supernatural tale slips under the skin, inking out a haunting tapestry of menace and madness. Nova Ren Suma is, quite simply, a masterful storyteller and one of my favorite writers.”

—Libba Bray, author of The Diviners and A Great and Terrible Beauty

After devouring her novels and crying during her SCBWI keynote, I honestly never thought I’d be able to say the words: LIBBA BRAY BLURBED MY BOOK.

What the!

I can’t even tell you how much this blurb means to me, coming from her.

Congrats, Nova! Oh, my! I think I’d have to cry if this were my blurb, so feel free to blubber up a second time. #NoJudgementToBeFound #SqueeWorthy! (Any word on how Bloggers can score an ARC?!)

What a wonderful review by Libba and having your desk arrive, knowing your writing space will soon be awesome must have made your cold insignificant. Congrats.
